OP Mainnet is an Ethereum Layer 2 powered by the OP Stack. The OP Stack also powers other chains, but those chains do not share OP Mainnet balances or transaction history. A tool marked “Optimism” should therefore be checked for explicit OP Mainnet support.
Access, move and monitor assets
- Connect through an EVM wallet configured for OP Mainnet.
- Use bridge tools that show the source network, destination and supported token route.
- Compare portfolio trackers for positions and onchain analytics for transactions and contract activity.
Keep OP Mainnet separate from Ethereum
OP Mainnet uses ETH for gas, but that ETH must exist on OP Mainnet. The same hexadecimal address can also appear on Ethereum, Base or another EVM network with different balances. Before signing, confirm the chain and contract rather than relying on the address or token symbol alone.
