Dune is a web workspace for examining indexed blockchain data. You can search public dashboards made by other analysts or write DuneSQL queries against data tables, chart the results and assemble your own dashboards. Its blockchain labels describe data coverage; Dune itself is not a wallet or a place to execute onchain trades.
From a dashboard to a query
Search results include dashboards and saved queries. Opening the underlying SQL helps you see which tables, filters and time ranges shape a chart. To make your own analysis, use the data catalog to find a table, run a query in the editor, save it and add a visualization to a dashboard. The Data API can retrieve results for an application or report.
Access and fit
Useful for: researchers, analysts and teams comparing onchain activity, tracking a protocol over time or publishing reproducible charts. Less suitable for: someone who needs a wallet, a trading interface or a simple way to build original analyses without learning basic SQL.
Account: public dashboards can be browsed without creating one; creating and saving queries requires a Dune account. Wallet: no wallet connection is needed for this read-only workflow. The workspace is available on the web, with a separate API for programmatic access.
Limits: network coverage and available tables differ by dataset; some datasets require gated access. Dune has a Free plan and paid plans, but queries, dashboard refreshes and API exports use credits, with limits determined by the plan and workload. Indexed data may arrive after the underlying transactions, so a dashboard is not necessarily live.
