This Cookie Policy explains how dApps.tools uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies. It describes the current website implementation and should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, can remember settings or temporary data without using a traditional cookie.
Technologies we currently use
Essential authentication cookies
If you sign in, Supabase Auth may set one or more session cookies so the server can recognize your authenticated session, refresh it securely, and protect account-only routes. These cookies are necessary for signed-in features and are not used for advertising.
Interface preference cookie
The authenticated administration interface can store whether its sidebar is expanded or collapsed in a cookie named sidebar_state. It lasts for up to seven days.
Preference storage
The site uses local storage to remember your theme and preferred display currency. These values remain on the device until you change them or clear browser storage. They are functional preferences and are not used to identify you across unrelated websites.
Draft and temporary storage
When you prepare a tool submission, the browser may save a draft in local storage so it can be restored. Administrative workflows may use session storage for temporary interface state. Session storage normally disappears when the browser tab or session is closed.
Analytics and advertising
The current public website does not include a third-party audience-analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tool. If that changes, this policy and any consent controls required by applicable law will be updated before such technology is used.
Third-party services and links
Supabase processes authentication cookies as part of the account service. Vercel delivers the website but the application does not intentionally use a Vercel analytics cookie. dApps.tools also links to independent third-party websites. Following an external link may allow that third party to use cookies under its own policy; those cookies are not controlled by dApps.tools.
Duration
Session-cookie duration depends on authentication state and session refresh. The sidebar preference lasts up to seven days. Local-storage preferences and drafts generally remain until changed, submitted, removed by the application, or cleared in the browser. Session-storage values generally last until the tab or browser session closes.
Managing and deleting cookies
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and site data. You can also clear local and session storage. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent sign-in, session refresh, favorites, submissions, dashboard access, or other account features from working. Blocking preference storage may reset the theme, currency, interface, or saved draft to its default.
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy when the website’s storage practices or legal requirements change. The latest version and its updated date will be published on this page.
