GridPlus makes the Lattice1, a hardware wallet with a five-inch touchscreen and removable SafeCards. A SafeCard can hold a separate wallet or a backup of the wallet stored inside the device. Inserting and unlocking a card makes its wallet active; removing it returns to the built-in wallet.
| SafeCard role | Contents |
|---|---|
| Backup card | Backup of the built-in wallet |
| Separate wallet card | Different keys; active while inserted and unlocked |
A connected device with a separate signing system
The Lattice1 needs mains power and an internet connection over Wi-Fi or Ethernet. GridPlus documents separate hardware environments for network communication and for handling signatures and the display. Private keys remain in the built-in wallet chip or the inserted SafeCard when used with compatible wallet applications.
Its EVM transaction decoding turns supported contract requests into function names and parameters before approval. EVM refers to networks compatible with Ethereum’s execution environment. Readable data helps explain a request; it does not establish that a contract or transaction is safe.
Choose the application for your network
NuFi connects the Lattice1 to Bitcoin, Solana and supported EVM networks. Bitcoin also has a basic wallet interface in Lattice Manager. For EVM use, compatible applications include MetaMask, Rabby and Frame. Directly documented networks include Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Avalanche C-Chain.
The documented MetaMask connection uses the desktop browser extension, not its mobile app. Solana uses the separate NuFi integration. Network availability therefore depends on the connected application as well as the hardware.
Requirements and practical fit
- Useful for: keeping distinct wallets on separate PIN-protected cards and reviewing signing requests on a dedicated screen.
- Less suited to: a workflow without power or internet, or signing through MetaMask on a phone.
- Account required: the documented Lattice Manager flow uses a device ID, a password and on-device pairing, with no separate email-account registration.
- Wallet required: no existing wallet is needed. Create a wallet on the device or restore a compatible recovery phrase during setup.
The optional anti-tamper mesh is designed to erase secure data and permanently lock the device if its circuit is broken while armed. An independent wallet backup is needed to recover from that event.
Application requests use GridPlus infrastructure by default. The documentation also describes an optional custom routing endpoint.
Hardware costs and delivery limits
The Lattice1 and additional SafeCards are hardware purchases. Blockchain network fees are separate from the device price, and import duties may apply to orders shipped from the United States. GridPlus lists shipping exclusions for OFAC-sanctioned destinations, mainland China, Russia and Vietnam.
