SafePal is a self-custodial, multi-chain wallet ecosystem rather than a single hardware device. It includes the SafePal App for iOS and Android, a browser extension, S1, S1 Pro and X1 hardware wallets, SafePal Mini on Telegram and the Cypher seed-phrase board. Users can create or import wallets, manage supported assets and NFTs, connect to dApps, and access integrated swap, bridge, purchase and other services.
Products and interfaces
- SafePal App: a free mobile software wallet that also manages paired SafePal hardware wallets. It supports transfers, assets and NFTs, swaps, bridges, market information, dApps and purchase or sale integrations.
- Browser extension: a desktop wallet for managing tokens and NFTs, connecting to dApps, and using supported swap and bridge routes. It can connect with the mobile app and SafePal hardware.
- S1 and S1 Pro: hardware wallets that exchange transaction data through QR codes. They do not use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or NFC for transaction communication.
- X1: a Bluetooth hardware wallet that SafePal describes as fully open source. Its controls and connection method differ from the QR-based S1 line.
- SafePal Mini and fiat services: a Telegram Mini App and a separate banking gateway operated with Fiat24. Banking is limited to eligible users and requires identity verification.
What you can do
The mobile and browser wallets provide routes for sending and receiving assets, swapping tokens, bridging compatible networks, managing NFTs and using dApps. Some functions use third-party providers or mini-programs, so available assets, quotes, regions and fees vary. The app also presents staking or yield integrations and a fiat gateway. These are optional services, not core wallet functions or guaranteed returns.
Is SafePal suitable for your needs?
- Useful for: managing several networks in one wallet suite, choosing between software and hardware wallets, connecting to dApps, or using integrated swap, bridge and purchase routes.
- Less suitable for: users who need identical features on every interface, custodial recovery of wallet credentials, or fiat services outside supported regions.
- Account required: SafePal says the core self-custodial wallet requires no registration or KYC. A local password and a created or imported wallet are required. Banking requires a separate application, eligibility checks and KYC.
- Wallet required: yes. Create or import a software wallet, or pair a SafePal hardware wallet. Hardware is optional.
- Main limits: coverage varies by interface; SafePal cannot restore a lost recovery phrase or passphrase; hardware models use different connections; and dApp, swap, bridge and fiat services can add provider restrictions and fees.
