Moonshot is an iOS and Android app for finding, buying, selling, creating and sending tokens on Solana. Spot trades are routed through Jupiter from an embedded wallet that Moonshot documents as self-custodial. Users can add funds through available payment partners or by crypto transfer, then buy supported tokens with SOL or USDC.
Is Moonshot a fit for your needs?
Useful for: mobile users who want memecoin discovery, spot trading and coin creation in one app, with fiat and crypto funding options that depend on their region.
Less suited to: browser or desktop workflows, native assets on networks other than Solana, or users who need a product unavailable in their jurisdiction.
Account required: yes. Public sign-up instructions require an email verification code and biometric or device-passkey setup.
Wallet required: no existing wallet is needed. Moonshot creates an embedded Solana wallet, and its keys can be exported. Moonshot cannot restore lost wallet access.
Main limits: funding and withdrawal methods vary by country and provider. Tokenized equities and leverage are unavailable in restricted jurisdictions, including Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Trading and fees
Moonshot states that it is not an exchange. Spot transactions interact with Jupiter’s Solana smart contracts, and the app presents the route and quote for the user to authorize. The current fee page lists a Moonshot fee of 2.5% on trades from $2 to $100, with a minimum of about $0.99, and 1% above $100. Routing, network and payment-provider costs are separate and are shown where applicable before confirmation.
Other actions in the app
The Create area can launch a Solana coin on a bonding curve before liquidity-pool migration. Moonshot also offers tokenized equities and perpetual long or short positions where available. Tokenized equities are tokens rather than ownership of the underlying shares; leveraged positions can be liquidated.
Moonshot supports Solana tokens for trading. Bitcoin and Ether shown in the app are wrapped representations on Solana, not native BTC or ETH. Cross-chain deposits may be converted to USDC or SOL, but this does not make the originating network a supported trading network.
