Crypto launchpads support token creation, public sales, bonding curves, auctions, presales, or liquidity bootstrapping. The platform may provide contracts and an interface without endorsing every project launched through it. Participation can involve extreme volatility, smart-contract risk, limited disclosure, and rules that differ for creators and buyers.
Review the launch, not only the platform
- • Mechanism: Understand price, allocation, caps, vesting, and refund rules.
- • Token: Verify supply, ownership concentration, powers, and unlocks.
- • Liquidity: Check the launch plan, lock conditions, fees, and exit depth.
Understand the launch mechanism
Fixed-price sales, auctions, curves, lotteries, and pool launches determine price and allocation differently. Read the start and end conditions, caps, vesting, refund rules, fees, liquidity plan, and what happens if a target is not reached. Automated graduation to an exchange does not guarantee durable liquidity.
Assess the token, not only the platform
Verify the contract or mint, supply, distribution, creator allocation, administrative powers, liquidity controls, and official references. Platform checks can reduce some risks but cannot establish future demand or honest behavior. Watch for copied brands, concentrated ownership, undisclosed unlocks, and privileged mint or freeze authority.
Review access and transaction safety
Check supported networks, wallet requirements, regional restrictions, identity checks, claim process, and total cost. Confirm every signature and approval. Creators should also examine contract ownership, metadata, treasury access, legal obligations, and how launch settings can—or cannot—be changed after deployment.
