Tensor is a Solana NFT marketplace built around Lite and Pro trading views. Its public catalog can be explored without first connecting a wallet. A compatible Solana wallet is required before placing or cancelling orders or completing another on-chain action.
How trading is organized
On a collection page, the buy side separates taking an available listing from placing a collection-wide bid. The sell side separates creating a listing from selling into an active bid. Sweep mode groups selected listings into one purchase flow.
TensorSwap adds automated order types. For a collection bid, the selected quantity, starting price and price change after each fill determine how much SOL is committed and how later fills are priced. Collection pages also expose listings, recent sales, bids, orders, holder data, traits and supported rarity views so the market can be reviewed before an action is prepared.
For creators and developers
Tensor documents a creator hub for maintaining collection information and launch tools for Solana NFT collections. Developers can use public SDKs for the legacy marketplace, compressed NFTs and Ledger Solana integrations; API access has a separate request process.
Who it is useful for
Tensor is useful for people who trade Solana NFTs and need collection-level data, bulk purchase flows, collection bids or automated order types in the same web interface. It is less suited to someone who needs a multi-chain NFT marketplace or a transaction flow that does not use a Solana wallet.
Access, costs and limits
- Account required: not for browsing the public catalog. Transaction actions use wallet-based access.
- Wallet required: yes for buying, listing, bidding, selling, cancelling orders and managing TensorSwap orders.
- Fees: Tensor documents a 2% taker fee and a 0% maker fee. Royalties are separate and depend on the collection’s enforcement settings.
- Main limits: the marketplace actions covered here concern supported Solana NFT collections. Advanced TensorSwap orders commit assets and can change price after fills, so their quantity, starting price and price change need to be checked before signing.
