Solscan is a web-based explorer and data platform for the Solana blockchain. Paste a transaction signature, account address, token mint, program address or block identifier to inspect public onchain information in a readable format.
What Solscan shows
Transaction pages present the result, confirmation state, signer, fee, main actions, instructions and program logs. Account pages show SOL and SPL token balances alongside transaction and transfer activity. Token pages add supply, holders, distribution, transfers and the market fields available for that token.
Is it suitable for your task?
Useful for: checking whether a Solana transaction succeeded, tracing transfers, reviewing an account’s public activity, identifying a token by mint address, examining holder distribution and reading program interactions.
Less suited to: managing private keys, executing routine trades or exploring several unrelated blockchains from one interface. Its core role is to read and organize indexed Solana data.
Account required: no for public searches and explorer pages. A Solscan account is used for saved watchlists, personal labels, notes and API-key workflows.
Wallet required: no for searching or reading public data.
Choosing the right lookup
A precise blockchain identifier gives the clearest result. A transaction signature opens execution details; an account address opens balances and activity; a token mint opens token and holder data; and a program address opens program-related information. Name and ticker searches can return several matches, so compare the displayed address before relying on a result.
Limits to keep in mind
Solscan focuses on Solana. Detailed instructions and program logs can require technical knowledge, while the summarized main actions are easier to read. CSV exports only include data tracked after July 7, 2021. The API is a separate developer workflow with an account, API key, endpoint coverage and plan limits; no API subscription price is recorded here because the public plan page checked did not expose a stable amount.
