RugCheck is a web-based scanner for Solana and Fogo tokens. Entering a token’s exact mint address opens a report that combines its identity, market data and automated onchain risk findings. Using the address matters because unrelated tokens can share the same name or symbol.
What a report shows
Depending on the available data, RugCheck can show a raw and normalized risk score, individual warnings, holder and creator concentration, liquidity markets, locked liquidity-provider (LP) tokens, mint authority, mutable metadata and detected insider networks.
Is RugCheck a fit?
- Useful for: screening a token before a closer manual review and checking several onchain signals in one report.
- Less suited for: confirming offchain identities, predicting future behaviour or replacing independent verification.
- Account required: no account is needed for the public scanner; some API capabilities require an account and API key.
- Wallet required: no wallet is needed to open a public report.
- Main limits: results reflect the data and scoring rules available at scan time. The free API serves cached, single-token reports.
How to read the score
RugCheck exposes a raw score and a score_normalised value from 0 to 100. Lower values mean fewer or lower-weight risk signals. The current documentation classifies raw scores below 1,000 as Good, 1,000–5,000 as Warning and above 5,000 as Danger; the approximate normalized boundaries are below 21, 21–40 and above 40. Read the individual findings, because the same label can represent different issues.
Access and API
The public scanner is free to use and advertises support for Solana and Fogo. The current API documentation describes its token risk service as Solana-focused. Most API endpoints are public and free, but free reports are cached and returned one token at a time. Paid plans add fresh reports, bulk requests, WebSocket streaming and higher rate limits.
RugCheck summarizes automated onchain evidence. A low score or verification badge is not a guarantee that a token is safe.
